Yes, I stand by my decision to feature a Raccoon on my soap labels!  Any questions?  I think this video goes along with my brand!

Time for some Professional Help!

So, in 30 minutes, I am going to sign up for Jess Van Den's Thriver's Circle.  She runs the site, Create and Thrive.  In her Thriver's Circle, she helps independent, creative people get their small businesses up and thriving!  I have been listening to her podcast, which was recommended to me by crochet pattern designer, June Gilbank, of  I think, no.., I KNOW, that I am ready for some professional advice on how to run my business better!
I am also going to participate in Kendra Cote's (of Modern Soapmaking) Brand Magic Workbook workshop on Wednesday on Facebook!  Later on in the month, I am attending the Handmade Soap and Cosmetic Guild's Annual Conference in Las Vegas.  Exciting times!

Welcome back!

Hi!  I guess I am not that much of a blogger, but that doesn't mean that I cannot learn!  I checked in on this neglected blog, looked at the stats, and much to my surprise, I am still getting views!  How? Why?  I don't know!
But if you've found me, yay!
I have renamed my blog from Jukatca, to Boulder Creek Soapworks!   I make gentle, and fun, soaps that the whole family will enjoy!  Crochet is now more of a hobby for me.  Making and selling soap is now my business.  I am gradually growing it and figuring out how to make it work!

This spring, my friends, Dan and Nancy, allowed me to set up my soaps at their table at the Mind Body & Spirit Festival at the Denver Merchandise Mart.  I had fun and got to talk to some interesting people!
I need to look for some local markets and fairs that I can sell at to get some steady income.  Online is great, but it can be a bit hit or miss!

In the meantime, I am still an avid crocheter, and knitter now too!  Currently, I am taking Improv Comedy Classes at the Bovine Metropolis Theater in Downtown Denver.  I am in Level 4 of 5!  In level 5 we get to do our own show for a whole month!
